Virtual Splash

Splash Hyderabad (August 2020)

Covid is NOT going to keep colour out of our lives!

Splash, an annual art competition for children with special needs has been hosted by Concern India Foundation in different cities for many years. We saw no reason for Covid to change that! A virtual version of Splash was hosted by our Hyderabad branch on 13th August and it rocked! 17 children participated from the safe environs of the shelter-home for special children, while a number of others participated from their own homes. The theme of the contest was Health & Hygiene and the children came up with some interesting creations which were photographed and mailed to us. Concern India Foundation volunteers were virtually present to encourage the children and candies were sent to all participants. Thank you to our sponsor Cotiviti for making this possible and giving the children a day to remember!

Splash Mumbai (July 2021)

Splashes of paint and colourful smiles were the highlight of ‘Splash’, Concern India Foundation’s annual art event for differently abled children!

This year we held a Virtual Splash! We had 180 enthusiastic children, participating from 10 schools.

Before the day of the event, we organised mentoring sessions with Accenture volunteers who held meaningful and fun workshops for the children. And on the day of the event, the children were thrilled to receive some amazing gifts, sponsored by Google!

Splash Delhi (March 2021)

Our annual art event for differently abled children Splash, was being sorely missed by all. To bridge the gap, our Delhi branch organized it through the virtual mode in March, with support from Gup Shup, Pep Play, Kailash Khadi Gram Udyog. 80 children participated from the safety of their own homes or institutions. Parents and teachers photographed the art created by the kids and sent it to us. Renowned artist Ms. Sujata Dere helped us select the 12 best works which were awarded with prizes. Appreciation certificates and coloring kits will be sent to all our participants. Thank you to our special friends for joining us in this event. We loved the time spent with you!
