COOKING FOR A SOCIAL CHANGE!

Our latest event, Sushi- making at the Imperial, marked the most scrumptious way to raise funds for a good cause. Cooking for a social change!

The fundraiser event, hosted at The Imperial Banquet Hall on the 5th December 2015, brought together chefs from Wasabi by Morimoto at the Taj and the Imperial Club by Taj to teach Sushi-making.

The hall was teeming with women in their early 20s and up, thrilled to have an opportunity to learn the art of making this Japanese dish. Not to anybody’s surprise, the love for food brought along with it, kids and middle-aged men also participating in the event.

The chefs’ finely intertwined stories about the history of Sushi and its origin kept the audience captivated. The two chefs managed to maintain order in their kitchen as easily as they shared personal stories and cooking experiences! The cooking continued at a brisk pace, whipping out five dishes over three hours. All in all, holding a cooking class proved to be a great way to sizzle up some funds for a noble cause.

The proceeds from this fund raiser, in aid of Concern India Foundation and organised by Secure Giving will be extended to over 270 programmes supported by the organization in the areas of health, education and community development.

The show wrapped up with beautiful messages of “I am the change”, “Posing for a Cause”; leaving behind the aroma of that impending positive change we aim to bring in people’s life!
