Community Development

Our community development programs improve livelihoods by designing programs that empower individuals across themes such as skilling, training and entrepreneurship. We meet our beneficiaries where they are by developing programmes that will enhance their lives and create a sense of independence.

Programs

Integrated Village Development

These programs focus on the holistic development of villages, targeting themes such as education, health and environmental interventions. These include transforming schools, installation of solar-powered digital classrooms, promoting child safety and personal hygiene. Health infrastructure is strengthened by improving drinking water facilities, installing solar streetlights. Environmental efforts include lake revival, soil and water treatment, and extensive training for farmers on horticulture, watershed management, multi-cropping, water budgeting, and linkages to government schemes.

Women’s Livelihood Empowerment

Over 10,000 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) have been built and strengthened across the country, supported by robust systems for KYC, bank linkages, government schemes, record keeping, and financial and digital literacy. At the core of this work lies a deep commitment to women's empowerment - through entrepreneurship training, micro-enterprise development, and equipping SHGs to drive lasting economic independence.

Women’s Empowerment through
Skilling and Entrepreneurship

We work on  livelihood development and skilling with women from underprivileged and marginalised communities. Through entrepreneurship, small and group businesses, training, and employment linkages, we help women turn skills into sustainable livelihoods. From tailoring, beautician services, and weaving to aquaculture, beekeeping, driving, and digital skilling, our programmes open new doors to independence and financial stability.

Watershed Development and
Community Livelihoods

Through an integrated watershed approach and active community participation, we strengthen rural livelihoods, enhance climate resilience, and support long-term environmental and economic sustainability. Our interventions address agricultural productivity, water security, soil erosion, and flood prevention — creating lasting impact at the grassroots level. This is made possible through the formation of Water User Groups, who drive on-the-ground efforts such as nala deepening, desilting, percolation tanks, Gabion walls, recharge shafts, and the repair of CNB/KT weirs — collectively restoring and protecting vital water ecosystems.

Youth Skilling and Employability

We have helped youth across the country by training them in various programs such as driving, nursing assistance, CRM and digital skills. These programs have reported substantial progress, with over 85% securing job placements after the program. In addition to improving employability, we work towards building life skills such as critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, communication, and conflict resolution skills that are valuable across diverse requirements.
